Back on track - I want to start a regular DDR meetup night at ACME in the near future where we all just get together and hang out and play and maybe challenge each other to matches and stuff. Is anyone interested and/or do any particular days or evenings work best for everyone?
I vote for Fridays because why not. The last few Fridays I went no one was there, so maybe this will revive the Friday atmosphere. Smiley

Fridays were actually my first thought too, just because they're open later and the majority of people don't have to go to work the next day. Smiley

So I full combo'd Gargoyle yesterday to ensure the pad indeed works as well as I claim for that kind of stuff, ~98.80. I can't hit 32nds at 150 because my ass is old so I got like 6 greats on those... but yeah everything else was great for technical stuff. 99'd Oasis also as FEC. No pics because I forgot and then was ashamed of my excellent count from lack of practice or an off day (respectively)... Try them out though if you were worried before.  Roll Eyes

Went down to ACME today to stomp some arrows.  DDR machine seemed to be doing fine.  ITG machine had a sign taped to it that said the left coin slot was malfunctioning.  Played three games via the right coin slot and only lost one coin, but then the next attempt to play resulted in it eating three coins in a row, so I gave up and moved to DDR for the evening.  Warned someone else about it and they tried anyway, with similar results (though I don't know how many coins they tried before coming to the same conclusion).

Yeah, I probably should have called Bill's number and reported it, but I was lazy.  And it was about 9pm.

I'll go fix this tomorrow night!

Oh snap, I should have focused on better reading comprehension here. I fixed the left coin slot because that's what the sign said. Didn't end up checking the right one.

I have a cold, but for now the left coin slot is GOLDEN and I'll check the right one next time I go, which could be as early as tomorrow night if said cold cooperates. Smiley

Hey guys,

We're trying to work out a solution for how I'm going to manage content on the ITG cabinet at ACME going forward, but in the meanwhile, Tony is going to show me how to load packs/songs and remove them this weekend, and I'd love to update the machine with more content if anyone has any requests. If you'd like me to add a pack to the machine, please provide a working link to that pack here, and also let me know if there's any inappropriate content I need to remove from it. Smiley

I'm gonna try really hard to be on top of things from now on, since I know that was a complaint in the past.

EDIT: Also, for those of you who are interested, this is the site that we (Tony and I) are using to track issues and tasks for the ACME machine. If you don't have an account you can't add tasks, just view them, so we're still taking pack requests here and working on a solution so you guys don't have to sign up with this site to be heard with regard to the ACME machine, but if you'd LIKE to make an account and comment on the tasks here we are totally okay with that!

Hey guys! Just a quick update.

We received the e-amuse readers and physically affixed them to the X3 cabinet, but they aren't fully installed yet because we're waiting on internet service and also need to do some drilling outside of business hours next Monday. I'll keep you informed about their status, but I wanted to post and let everyone know because, you know, suddenly there are readers.

I've also been told the ITG coin mech has been acting up, so I'm going to look at that in the near future.

Ddr had a board error when I arrived. I cycled the power and got an out of range error on the screen. Not sure what's up with it.

The ITG coin mech is misbehaving, I had issues with both sides but worse on p2. worked fine for the rest of my sets after giving the door a bit of a shove, though. I think someone mentioned it before.

I also had to power cycle the DDR, but no issues after that. P1 right seemed a bit dull when playing doubles.

Looks like I gotta get down to ACME ASAP to check on this stuff. It has to be Thursday because I have a million errands today and tomorrow (I just got back from Virginia.) Will go there around opening, though. Smiley

Yesterday when I visited, the screen on ITG seemed a little dim; it was as if the contrast was turned down but the brightness was left at its current level. Maybe raise the contrast...please? Smiley

On that note, can anything be done about the focus? I know those monitors have focus knobs on them, couldn't hurt to try (if someone hasn't already messed with it).

Tomorrow I will go check out the contrast/focus/overall monitor situation, the coin mech, and the DDR pads. Can't guarantee what time, but it will be tomorrow Smiley.

1. The contrast is turned up to 100%, so I turned the brightness down by 5% and degaussed. Hopefully that helps. If not, let me know and I'll look at it some more on Saturday.

2. Tony says the blurriness has always been there and he's not really sure what to do about it. I'll investigate further over the next couple of days.

3. I got 1p right doing a little better on X3 VS 2nd Mix per my own observations. You guys wanna test and tell me how it is? Smiley

I know we have some Air Hockey people here in the group.  We decided to replace the Acme table, it was getting tired.  For the last 38 years, we have only bought new tables made by Dynamo.

this go round, we decided to try another brand.  It's a real nice tournament model.  Hoping those that like Air Hockey will give their opinions on this table after playing it.

Thanks,

Bill

X3's P2 left arrow got stuck on me while I was playing doubles last night. Requesting an examination, please... Smiley

I was down at ACME on Friday afternoon, and at that time, ITG was eating quarters in both coin slots.  Haven't been online to mention it much since then, but did send a text message about it to the number I had listed for Bill... not sure if that worked, though.
