the whole 2P side of IIDX needs to be checked, 1 and 2 are stick keys and TT is unresponsive sometimes

Wow that's suprising since me, you, and maybe some others are the only right siders

I guess I should note that on the 1P side, sometimes the TT doesn't register scratches, I think it's usually only in the CW direction though.

Also 1 and 3 keys have dead spots, I THINK.  I FCed Yesterday another but I was also noticing misses in the first half of A [a] when I knew I was hitting the chords correctly.

Yeah, the pedal's really bad now.  It worked fine for half a song after the tech left and then I failed my song.  It's both sticking and missing hits, although the sticking seems to cause more misses than sensor error for now.  Auto-bass isn't very fun...

i can vouch for the bad pedal...i know i suck at drummania but jesus, every time i was hitting on the pedal, it wouldn't register the hit...

I was there on Sunday and the pedal still didn't work, and then when i was there today the dude came and fixed it. Seemed fine to me after that.

and 2P on IIDX also seemed fine to me (only played it twice).

this has probably already been discussed to death, but since i'm new and out of the loop, what is the status of ever upgrading the iidx?

But they're better now, since all the BemaniPC hardware is being sold for cheap as arcades are upgrading to GOLD.

There's a distorted machine for sale on coin op for $15000, go for it.

Otherwise shut up.

Responding to a lack of tact with an equal lack of tact may not be the most tactful way to promote the community.

iidx13+hardware kits are ending around $900 on yahoo auctions japan now. though i'd wait and see if iidxgold upgrade kits are available once that's released here. but knowing betson it might just cost the same to import from japan. Tongue

I figured you were not being 100% serious, but the term "demand" is a very strong word and I for one don't know you so well (in fact I don't know many people here all that well) so I can see how it would be misconstrued.  A lot of other people are constantly asking for upgrades to various machines in the area so I don't see how the topic itself is so taboo; but it was your wording that I think touched a nerve in minimoos.

is anyone else going... i'll bring that tabasco

Did anyone drink the Tabasco?

If not, I'll Youtube it or something. I don't make it up to Acme often enough.

And seriously guys, it's not that hard. It's essentially a test on how much you can focus your mind OFF the task of chugging hot suace. If you're mind is completely somewhere else, it's easy.

If you're wondering, I once drank Habanero Tabasco once, about 8 oz. Eastern mantras and/or meditation really does work lol

it might be easy to you, but it's not "just focusing"
Your body could physically close off input like that if it can't handle it.  That's why I can't chug a can of coke.  It started splling out of my mouth after about 2/3 can because my throat refused to stay open.  This was like 8 years ago though, I wonder if I could do it now...

Yo all,
I have a job interview in Tukwila so after that I'll be stopping by ACME for some drummaniaing.

Probably be there from 3:15-4:15ish, but it depends.

EDIT: Actually, I didn't go.  I was in the ACME parking lot and decided what I really SHOULD do is go home and write a good thank you email ASAP. Heh.  The job I had just interviewed with was REALLY impressive.

I might be going to acme on saturday for a bit after I take my dog to get his shots.

So, sometime around 5?
