There is AC in the gameroom.  But it's very inadequate, mainly due to the heat the machines generate.

I wonder if someone could get Acme to install some fans next to the didders and ITG. Like how the HUB used to have.

Presents a safety issue for little kids that like to stick their fingers in things. Sad

Does anyone (Bill maybe) know Acme's policy on playing with things outside their building, on their property, such as hackeysacks? I tried this at my Mall and a Security Dude told me to knock it back it my pocket. I'd be sad if I couldn't at Acme either, like while I'm waiting for something.

If you did it outside the back entrance, I'm sure as long you guys didn't look threatening you shouldn't have much trouble. I'm sure Acme's security is pretty concerned about teens just hanging around with all the suspicious peoples that have been there at odd times. It'd probably depend on the time too, but if you guys go back in and start playing arcade games I'm sure they'll be more lenient if they see it as a break instead of just standing outside causing trouble.

It's because you're flailing your feet around like a crazy person in a group. If someone gets nailed in the head, they're going to be pissed. Every kid I know played hackysack in school and everyone thought they were good at it...

....Chances are you aren't either. If you aren't spending money at ACME, chances are they aren't going to appreciate you loitering outside their facility.

Suggestion: pin fans up on the wall, out of kids' reach, and have them point downward.

My 'skill' in hackeysack is a trivial matter, stop attempting to make personal attacks. I'm talking about like during a tourney or so, while I'm waiting. Sometimes I feel like I need room.

It's not a trivial matter. Most people who play are terrible. It's a finesse sport and it involves your legs. You do not need to be kicking things outside of ACME. It's a place of business and not only would you be loitering, you would be doing what amounts to a physical sport outside. Do it somewhere else. It's doesn't matter when it is.

And since you like to use the "personal attack" out a lot- here you go: You only feel like you need room because you suck. I'm not being mean, but it's the truth. I've BEEN THERE. I KNOW. I SUCKED TOO. Take it however you want, but ask a stupid question and get a stupid answer.

it probably wasn't meant as a personal attack... but what he said was pretty close to fact

[edit] or he can post before me so i can look like an idiot
either is fine

Thanks, Mike. It wasn't actually. But I know EXACTLY how these games pan out. I'm sure you have the "punt it" guy and the "leap for it 10 feet away guy" and you have the "I can almost do 10 in a row guy" and the "I'll save it no matter what running across the parking lot guy."

Hackey Sack involves movement as a group acting almost as one entity. You play together in unison and it's something amazing. Everyone I knew thought they were good, too. You're not an exception, please don't bring that childness to ACME.

Matt, yes, we see it's not the appropriate place, but you don't need to attack how good/horrible he is at is twice. His question was already thoroughly answered.

It's an activity he enjoys doing, and asked it if it would be appropriate to do it or not. Give the 15 year old a break. Tongue  I bet you did nothing childish at 15.

Well, if you're going to ignore what I said previously and then reply with "here's my reasoning why it's a good idea" then I guess I'll have to repeat myself.

I don't really think you (or he for that matter) wants to play the age card.

Anyways, it's pointless. I tell him something he doesn't want to hear and all of a sudden it's a personal attack.

Back on topic, is the BMIII there yet? I heard IIDX was leaving this week.

I don't want to hear it, because it IS a personal attack. Take this shit to another topic if you want to argue for no reason. Stop being bellicose.

Is IIDX being traded with III at Narrows or just being moved out?

The BM's were swapped yesterday.  Poor mans 50 cent BM now playing at Acme.  Hope everyone enjoys the change.  Where were all you guys yesterday when our moving crew needed you?  Getting the BM 7th Append in there was terrible from what I hear.  Too deep to make it up the ramp to the arcade, and they broke our ramp system when trying to get it up over the stairs.  They struggled, but it's in.  That is a tough place to change out games!

BM working good. Filled up the whole score board. Smiley Two dudes came in asking where "two deluxe" went. They were pretty sad.

But I wanted to play some two dicks! Cheesy

Actually, I'm really excited about BMIII. Time to either learn to play one handed or right-side, depending on which I want.

Thanks for moving that, Bill =D  If it's any consolation, I was at Narrows this evening and saw a few new faces playing on the IIDX 8th Style.

As for Carson's inquiry, I think you should ask the management/staff at ACME themselves.  All it would take is a quick phone call.  But I do think that most commercial facilities would frown upon such behavior, unfortunately.  Even if ACME themselves endorsed it, unfortunately those activities catch a bad rap due to various reasons (least of which being the players themselves might be bad   ) and the local security details and commercial zoning laws might prohibit it.

I started on that BMIII machine, actually. Somehow I switched to the left side when I went to IIDX though, maybe I should retrain myself sometime.
