 Undecided

Well, I planned to head there tonight. I'll bring my "repair kit" (i.e. my screwdriver, wd40 and business cards). Ron, will you be there to vouch for me that I'm not there to break their machine?

Edit:
Guess I won't be going tonight. I got distracted with Reach tonight. I'm planning for tomorrow.

I went last night and did some maintenance. The 2P side was an easy fix. The bracket above the inner sensor on the DOWN arrow had the screws loose and the bracket wasn't even pushing down onto the sensor. I proceeded to fix the problem, then tested it by AAA'ing Love Shine on heavy...Fixed.

The 1P side was a bit more mysterious. I was getting a few weird misses on the UP arrow, but everything seemed to be fine inside the pad. I opened it up and noticed that the tech had put two folded business cards under each sensor. I suspect that this might have made the sensor bow a bit too much, so I reduced the number of business cards to 1. I didn't get much of a chance to test it out thoroughly, but I did get 1g on Waka Laka, and I was able to play an entire set without noticing a pad error. So I'm going to assume it's at least OK now.

I just wanted to note that if you put your machine up there, Tony and I would go play it. Everett is about as much of a pain to get to as Tukwila for us, but with the difference in traffic flow, there are some times when it's easier to go North than South. Smiley Plus, Extreme + ITG in the same place = awesome.

Heh that would be awesome to get more people playing here. I'm just really hoping that something would get worked out if they decide to go for it

Yeah, I still haven't talked with anyone yet about ITG2. I keep telling myself I need to get my ducks in a row before I go down there with a proposal, but I keep finding myself getting tied up doing other things. I'm hoping one of these days I just happen to meet the guy there while I'm playing and I can discuss it with him impromptu. That's how I like to do things like that.

Why do you think you'll get eliminated so fast? You're not a bad player and I honestly feel like you have a chance to place in the top 3.

Good luck tomorrow, I'll see everyone there @ 1:30.

Hi, im Daegan and im a casual player, who can do most 9 foot DDR songs on heavy. I met some of you at the tournament on the 9th, I live right by evergreen lanes so if anyone wants someone to DDR with, at evergreen lanes, you can hit me up. I'm free pretty much all the time.

Welcome Deagan. It was awesome to meet you at the tournament. Thank you for attending. Keep an eye on this thread from time to time. I know Ron (crazyice85) regularly posts when he will be at Evergreen in this thread. I hope to see you more in the future.

While I'm thinking about it, I had a question for the Evergreen lanes regulars. A couple months ago when I went into Evergreen in the afternoon, the whole arcade was turned off, does anyone know why that would have been and does that happen often?

Welcome to the forums Stephen.

I've seen the machine unplugged a few times in the past, but never the whole arcade without power. Maybe they turned the breaker switch off to that room for some reason?

Btw, if you ever go in there and the DDR machine is unplugged, just plug it back in. It's usually perfectly fine to play, but some of the pinball or billiards players will unplug the machine because it annoys them.

I was there once when this happened. They turn the machines off at night, and don't turn them back on until someone uses them in the morning.

Just ask the employee at the counter to turn them on. Smiley

Ron, when's the best days to go to Evergreen if I want to avoid a huge crowd in the arcade? I'd prefer to go on Tue and Thu around 6:30 in the afternoon, but in the last few weeks, Evergreen Lanes seems to be a very busy place.

yea, in the fall all the way through april, there's leagues going on every night, but the slowest nights are monday and sunday nights, tuesdays through saturday the leagues usually take over the whole ally and they bring their kids who take over the arcade pretty much untill 9:30 then they got their dollar bonanza and bowl n glow stuff going on, but everyone usually concentrates on those things, as for the arcade in the morning, yea if everything is off, just ask the desk to turn everything on and they will no problem
