Also, they were working on putting in two Theatrhythm (Final Fantasy music game) machines last night.  Weren't ready yet, though.

Visited this afternoon and it appears that there is one Theatrhythm machine, and another is Puzzles and Dragons arcade. I think they use the same cabinet but with different signage.

Have they refilled the UFO Catchers with anything new?  I went to Seattle like 3 weeks ago and they were almost completely empty.  I'm going to Tacoma (and Seatac) next week and am really hoping that this isn't the case again.

They were supposedly converting both of those machines to Theatrhythm.

Somebody on the ZiV board said that the Floor Infection DDR songs are now playable on NA cabs (as of a couple days ago). I haven't tried this myself, but I'll probably wander down sometime tomorrow to see (as I finished the event for the DDR songs last weekend, cause I figured I'd be kicking myself later if I didn't Tongue).

(EDIT)There are two Theatrhythm machines in the walkway between DDR and Gitadora/Groove Coaster/IIDX/SDVX. 6 credits each, don't know how many stages.

Also, the Floor Infection DDR songs are playable, but the unlock time period ended two hours ago. The New Generation songs are still MIA though.

The Theatrhythm machines are 6 credits for two songs.  (I played them tonight.)

I'm hearing that IIDX Sinobuz was an online update (unlike copula), so it may be available at Round1 now...

Theatrhythm is now giving you one extra song per credit until 5:59 AM JST on January 4th, so the game is essentially 6 credits for 3 songs like most of the other music games.  At least for a month.  Not sure if this bonus requires you to use a Nesica card or not, but I imagine most people who've played it more than once are using one.

Sound Voltex IV is now up and running at Round 1.  It was updated yesterday.  As of last night, there was no Mission (story) mode yet, and the Skill Analyzer courses weren't available, so you were stuck playing songs with a maximum difficulty of 7 in the first round, and 8 in the second round.  Konami has acknowledged this and says Skill Analyzer is coming soon.  In the meanwhile, you could play in Excessive Rate mode for the first two stages and at least charge up the Blaster.  Smiley

There's a small stamp card event running where you get an Appeal Card after five stamps.  According to the web site, you're only able to get one stamp per day.  But I got all five last night, so am not sure whether it's a bug, or if the site is wrong.  The on-screen stamp card didn't say anything about being one stamp per day, and generally it says so when that's the case.

You can now buy songs from the song selection screen, instead of having to buy them after your game.  This will make unlock chains easier, at least once you can play songs harder than 7/8 in the first two stages.

The crew screen is now accessed by hitting both FX buttons from the Appeal Card selection screen.  You can toggle between them this way.  If you finished the storyline in SDVX 3, you will have Rasis in a blue outfit as an alternate version of the 'No Crew' Nemsys Crew slot, and can reach it via the knobs.

You should still have all your Appeal Cards and Crew and song scores from SDVX 3, but you've lost any Packets or Blocks you hadn't spent.  It gives you a fair amount after the first game, though.

An update to the rhythm game roster for this location:
PIU: Prime has been upgraded to PIU: Prime 2. The front desk does not have the new profile cards available yet, but you can still use USBs to login like before, if you register on http://piugame.com/

Also, for those who are unaware, one of the DDR Ace cabs is now gone. So there's only one DDR cab and not two.

I am going to Round1 Southcenter for the first time next weekend.

I was wondering about the e-Amusement cards. Are they still $10?

Also, I already have an online e-Amusement account for IIDX Infinitas use. Will I be able to attach the e-Amuse card I get to that account? Can I do that from my phone when I'm there?

One more thing, I have read a lot of conflicting info about Paseli at Round1 locations? Is it really disabled on the Round1 machines? Or is it different at each location?

I am so excited for this weekend! Ahh!

E-Amusement cards have been reduced to $5. Nesica cards (for Groove Coaster, Final Fantasy Theatrythm) are still $10.

Yes, you can add a new card to your existing E-Amusement online account via phone. You just need to first use the card on any game at least once first, then it can be registered.

As far as the Southcenter location, Paseli doesn't exist in any form, however certain games have been tweaked for this American location and will give you all the Paseli bonus content pre-unlocked for free.

I think this only applies to DDR, because it's explicitly a North American version (non-JP versions of BEMANI games either have alternatives to PASELI, or don't require it for anything). The Japanese version games (Gitadora, IIDX, SDVX and Museca) all have PASELI modes locked out. On IIDX, this means no extra stage at all. However, most unlock events will be accessible on final stage instead if they usually require extra stage (the exceptions so far being copula's Season Line and Sinobuz's Buzra Arts). The LEGGENDARIA folder can be accessed if you've purchased Mystery Scrolls, but the lowest level song in there is a 10 (well, aside from the HCN version songs).

I get the impression that Round1 isn't allowed to enable PASELI on any of their machines here in the US, but I could be wrong on this.

Daaang. Well shoot I have like $20 on my Paseli account but I guess that will just go to next month's Infinitas subscription!

So like in Sinobuz the Arcane scrolls won't work or will they since you can purchase them from the e-Amusement site?

How about any of the Basic/Premium Course functionality? Does that still work?

Thanks for the responses!

Anything on the e-Amusement site works. Basic/Premium Course features work (though I think the only Premium Course features we're able to use are the 3 Favorite folders and website score download), as do Mystery Scrolls (Note: I call them this because that's what the URL on the Sinobuz website says).

Basically, if it could be done in coin mode (which is what we're limited to), then it is available.

Oh awesome. I have limited Japanese knowledge. I took 4 years of it in High School and one year in community college over a summer.

Arcane/Magic Scroll was the best translation I could think of! But I'll use Mystery Scroll from now on! Grin

I don't mean to double post, but I finally went to Round1 this past weekend and had a blast! Man, I'm so jealous of the Seattle area that they have access to such an awesome place. If there was a Round1 in Portland I would most likely be there at least every weekend if not every day after work.

I played tons of Beatmania IIDX, which was only the second time in my life playing IIDX on an actual cabinet so that was pretty awesome. I also played Sound Voltex for the first time ever and loved it as well, I am seriously considering buying a DJ Dao SVSE5 controller now. Also played Pop'n Music for the first time ever and that was great too.

Now I'm trying to find the best option on how to make trips to Round1 at least once a month more economically feasible/realistic... I don't know if it is...

It seems like Portland would eat up a place like Round1, I know we have some Big Als and Dave & Busters so it seems like Round1 wouldn't be too much of a stretch. But maybe the market is just too saturated with those other options.

Sigh.

Maybe I just need to move to Seattle. Haha.

Updated zenius to reflect that GFDM has been upgraded Tri-Boost Re:Evolve for some time instead of just tri boost.

I should try to make it down here again. FYI: It's inconvenient to go play dance games all day when you have a kid (or more than one even).

This thread is pretty vacant. How often are people going to R1 these days? Any good meetup times?

I sometimes pop by weekly (usually Sundays). Especially at the moment cause I'm a little behind in the Sinobuz castles >.>

Also, it might be worth noting that since DST goes into effect tomorrow, the eAmuse maintenance times will change again (1-3PM).

I ten to visit on a weekly basis on either Tuesday or Thursday evening most often, but I don't get there before 8pm, since I don't like fighting traffic.

Updated the entry for Prime, but now that I'm here, I see I got the price wrong (it's 5 credits, not 6). GuitarFreaks is off right now for some reason.

(EDIT)Also seems like Groove Coaster is now Groove Coaster 3ex.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know why they removed the other Ace cab?

The story I heard is that R1 had the second machine at this location as storage while waiting to be placed into another location. It's a place for R1 to store the extra cabinet while allowing it to earn them some money while it waits to go to its "real" home.
