Hi everyone! So I'm going to be living in Tacoma for the next year and I'm moving from Illinois Smiley

I figured I would post here asking peoples opinions about if it is a good idea for my to bring my dance games out here, or if it would be a better idea for me to just go play on machines in the area.

Would people be interested in coming over to play? If so, should I bring pump or ITG? I would like to have peoples opinions and stuff!

Ha ha ha. What a strange thread. I don't live anywhere near Tacoma, so it doesn't really concern me, but I'm sure more machines = better. I know 1 or 2 people play regularly down in Tacoma. I'm sure either ITG or PIU would be welcomed by most. More machines is always better!

Welcome to the community, Pez!

I think the decision to move your machines should be one you decide, since everyone here will probably say "yeah bring them" but it might not make the most sense, depending on your circumstances. Smiley  It sounds like you're moving for just a year?

Most of the best dance game machines are in the south end, Tukwila and Tacoma and are managed by Bill (mvco) who posts on our forums. If you can make it to Bellevue and Seattle, then you have access to a couple more pump machines. The location threads here pull information for Zenius-I-Vanisher's arcade database which is easy to find our machines mapped out by location.

We do have some nicely up-kept machines, but less of a selection of PIU machines. If you want to meet the community, going to the arcades will be your best bet.

Yeah bring ITG, people will want a lot i'm sure. Also after sakuracon it's pretty obvious that the ITG community out weighs the PIU community by a long shot. Plus there seems to be an abundance of PIU machines in the Seattle area and one public dedicab so...I vote ITG.

I wouldn't quite say abundance...IIRC there are only two....One at ACME and one down by the pier in Seattle

+PIU Pro 2 at Power Play, Bellevue.

So 3 total. Which is far from abundance.

is this still happening, are you coming to Tacoma? we've got a decent selection of DDR/ITG machines around, but PIU is nowhere to be found in Tacoma, so i'd honestly vote for PIU, as i really miss the 5 panel, and i'll probably ask if i could come over and play sometimes. i don't have actual money most of the time, but i can easily provide food and that kind of stuff.

EDIT: oh wait... you live in Dupont, WA... how far is that from Tacoma?

EDIT 2: oh okay, it's actually not that far, just past Fort Lewis...
